What tier next?

We are in the process of upgrading our shipyard to tier 2 but need a focus as to what to upgrade next.

If we upgrade Engineering we unlock Advanced Fleet Engines and Weapons, Eng. common duty officers, and ability to upgrade the Industrial Fabricator. If we upgrade Science we unlock Sci. common duty officers and the ability to upgrade Communications Array.

We are currently at 18,500 for Science and 12,000 for Engineering. It would be quicker to reach the goal of 25,000 for Science but it doesn't give us as much bang for our buck as the Engineering one does.

Please let me know so we can move forward!

Engineering seems to be to be the better initial upgrade

Well as of tomorrow this will have been up for a week, so I believe the overall consensus has been to pursue Engineering as our second tier 2 unlock.
